Haven in Paris stood out in having a diverse suite of high quality apartments for rental. The staff were responsive and thorough when making on-line bookings. The 'Clery' apartment in Montorgeuil was a perfect choice for us: close to the centre of Paris, huge and beautifully appointed, and in an area I'd not explored before in the 'ragtrade' district and close to bistros and specialist food retailers. My mother and I stayed in the Clery Apartment from October 6 through 13. Laurence was our greeter. Let me congratulate you on providing such excellent service! This was our sixth time to Paris together and it will rank as one of our most enjoyable. After staying in hotels for so many visits and making due with a mini-bar instead of a fridge, it was a pleasure to have a full sized refrigerator/freezer at out disposal.Shopping the open air markets was more fun than our museum visits. I love to cook and cooking with the farm fresh (French!) ingredients was also quite an experience. The kitchen was stocked with oils, spices, teas, utensils; simply perfect. The apartment was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We loved all the coffee table sized books about art and fashion. The duvets on the beds were luscious. Also, having a washer/dryer in the apartment was a convenience we truly appreciated. Laurence, our greeter, was awesome. We arrived early and she shifted her schedule to accommodate us and get us into the apartment as quickly as possible. We were very grateful. As Americans we are used to Indian summers with warm Octobers. It was cool in the apartment and Laurence worked tirelessly to ensure our comfort by buying a small, hard-working heater for the apartment. We were never chilly again. The apartment was spotless when we returned after the maid had cleaned. This experience has quite spoiled us. Now when we stay in hotels, even when we have a large suite, we have to swallow our disappointment at its small size and lack of adequate (comfortable) seating, etc. compared to Clery. We look forward to staying there again next year. |

From the moment I made an online inquiry through HIP I knew we were on to a good thing. HIP staff were professional and prompt on every inquiry I made and made the booking process so easy. The Clery property was amazing - we could not want for more - so spacious which was important when traveling with kids and the location ideal - we could walk anywhere but also the metro station was just down the road. Laurence was so friendly but also professional and made it clear that she would do whatever she could to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Why HiP? Our first requirement when booking accommodation is usually that credit card payment is accepted. Once this was confirmed however, the website information for viewing the properties online was superb - so clear and easy to understand. The photos of our apartment were spot on - but of course in real life much more impressive! Thanks HIP - you will be our priority when booking in Paris again. |

This is a stunning apartment in a very different part of Paris than we have ever stayed in before. Initially the area seemed a bit daunting, even threatening, but much better when we discovered the terrific nearby pedestrian mall leading down to the Les Halles area. The greeter was very helpful and accommodating, as was the concierge. As a fellow artist, we have enjoyed this lovely apartment. Hopefully we'll be back one day! Why HiP? We found it extremely easy to deal with the Haven in Paris team. You were all extremely responsive, helpful, flexible and easy to deal with, especially considering the time difference between Paris and New York. We were particularly grateful that, on both occasions, you were able to assist us more than adequately at extremely short notice. |

My daughter & I just returned from 10 days at the Clery apartment. It is exactly as pictured on the site, except that each of the bedrooms has wonderful, full-length french doors that open onto the courtyard, as the others do. So every room (excepts w/c's) are bathed in light, and the view of the other french doors all around the courtyard is lovely. The building is silent 24/7, which is very unusual for a Paris apartment building. We never - not even once - heard neighbors above, below, or on either side. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that no one lives in any of the adjoining apartments: that's what I mean by silent! The beds & linens were absolutely top-drawer. After a long day of wandering, it was heavenly to fall into a bed of perfectly *pressed* linens and lovely down pillows. In addition, the towels were enormous & thick, and it's always nice to have a heated towel bar. The kitchen had everything we needed - Krups coffee maker was wonderful & perfectly clean & fresh. (Such a drag to use a coffee maker that smells like Maxwell House...) Location is perfect - one block from Metro, two blocks from Rue Montorgueil, 25 minute walk to Rue St-Honore. I could go on & on. Suffice it to say that I cannot recommend HiP highly enough & I'm sure we'll rent from them again soon. Why HiP? I don't rent a place unless I feel as though I know every inch of it beforehand. I'm so happy that I found you, and I am now going to dash off a quick review on Fodors.com because it seems there a lot of people there who are curious about your operation. What a wonderful two weeks. Like all before us, we fell in love with Paris. This apartment was the perfect place from which to explore. My wife, two sons and I stayed at the Clery apartment in December 2010. The entire experience from dealing with HIP to being greeted by our greeter Laurence was exceptional. The apartment is very spacious and the pictures on the website do not do it justice. The apartment is quiet, clean and within 10-15 minutes walk from all the best parts of Paris. We loved staying in this special little "Haven in Paris". It was very central to where we needed to go and a cosy home to come home to after several hours of cold snow, sleet and rain. We have stayed in the Ritz before, but this is home away from home, especially if traveling with children. We can all highly recommend this apartment to groups up to 3 people. The only downside was that there is only one bathroom in the apartment which can make things a little crowded at bath time if there are 4 in your group as was our case. Note from HIP: There is also a second 1/2 bath in the apartment with a sink and toilet that is supplemental to the main, full bathroom. |

The Clery apartment was roomy and clean. It was so nice to stay in a neighborhood which really made you feel like a true Parisian. It was relatively quiet and the location was perfect - we would walk to get our morning croissant and coffee and blend in with the locals. We look forward to coming back to Paris next year and staying in the same apartment! |

3 weeks was not enough! Perfect apartment with a perfect location in the perfect city. Who could ask for more? The three weeks we spent there wasn't long enough. We highly recommend some neighborhood restaurants like Clementine, Gallopin, Aux Lyonnaise and Chez Georges. All within a ten minute walk. Shopping daily on the Rue Montorgueil was a pleasure. The apartment is everything it appears to be. Stylish and clean. And the service was impeccable. The Metro was easy to use. And the Parisians couldn't have been nicer. There were many companies, but HIP seemed to have a number of upscale apartments at reasonable prices. The Clery apt. is quiet (except for one night with someone talking loudly on their balcony),artistically furnished, comfortable,and has season 3 of Curb Your Enthusiasm when one is just too tired to go out. The airbed was fine for our eldest, and having 2 toilets is a plus. The location is ideal, with the Sentier Metro steps away, nearby markets, and one can walk to the Seine/Louvre in less than 15 minutes. Why HiP? upscale looking apartments at reasonable cost |

Good location in a good building. If you like to shop markets daily and cook your own meals this is a very good set up. Kitchen was adequately equipped as were the stove, oven and refrigerator. Apartment space is more than adequate for 3-4 people. Still not used to the "shower in a tub" arrangement and did not like climb in and out of the high-rimmed tub but everything else was fine. The building is very secure and quiet and the neighbors very friendly. We had a great time. |

I know Paris very well but had never rented an apt. before. the apt's location near rue montorgueil ? was really great, the centrality of the area was great, the property was very clean, lots of places to put clothes in the bedrooms, your greeter was lovely and very reliable and the apt. was exactly as it appeared on the website. It really was a beautiful place to return to after pounding the pavement all day. the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were lovely. Having the ibook was a great help as was the free use of the phone. Why HiP? I loved the modern esthetics of the apartment-the art, the spaciousness, it didn't feel like I was living in someone else's place. it was homey but not suffocating. your website was very clear and the blogs were fun as well. |

Beautiful apartment on prime location. The street is very quiet and safe, walking distance to many great restaurants, shops, Louvre... Haven in Paris did great job in making everything smooth and easy. They helped us find the driver to wait for us at the airport, Didier was waiting for us in the apartment and was very helpful with info what is “hot in the city” at the moment as well with all our questions. Laurence helped us with check-out, called the taxi, checked the train status, waited outside for taxi to come. Unbelievable service, beautiful vacation. Thank you again! Why HiP? This trip had to be arranged on short notice. The folks at HIP were extremely helpful and kind. The website is a wealth of information. It is reassuring to see the praise and recommendations from former clients of HIP. The trip was fabulous and the apartment and surrounding neighborhood were great! We would (and have) definitely recommend HIP! Why HiP? The owner of a local camera store found that we were about to visit Paris (as she was showing us new cameras) and raved about her great experiences with HIP. We canceled our hotel and ended up with a great apartment rather than an average (and expensive) hotel room. |

We were absolutely thrilled with Rue de Clery. Not only was the location perfect, but the apartment itself was stunning. Gorgeous light, airy rooms, fantastic art, and very well laid out. We enjoyed our meals at the large dining room table, many of which were simply some goodies we picked up on Rue Montorgueil. Our greeter could not have been sweeter and even stocked the baskets in the kitchen with some pain au chocolat for our boys. I can't recommend this apartment enough. Thanks, HIP! Why HiP? After years of searching for reputable apartment listings in Paris, I ran across HIP on Joanna Goddard's blog. Since then, I can't imagine staying anywhere else. What a great first experience with a vacation rental agency! Service when we arrived was excellent; our host went above and beyond -- and, to our pleasant surprise, one of the Haven in Paris employees from Boston even met us at our flat while she was in town! Our arrival in Paris couldn't have been easier. The flat was spacious, clean, modern, and safe for four women traveling in a foreign country. Literally a one minute walk to the nearest metro. Beds were comfy, linens abundant, and kitchen well-stocked for a great meal (though we found the HiP online restaurant recommendations perfect each night!). The bathroom & shower was spacious -- a rarity in Europe! We loved being surrounded by the owner's art. The views into the courtyard were a treat each morning. The photos don't do this flat justice. We would definitely return. After one trip, Haven in Paris will now be our go-to stop for accommodations in France and beyond! Thank you for a perfect stay! Why HiP? Our greeter was very helpful to us at the apartment, she showed us how everything worked and assisted us on the last day with luggage storage at the apartment and organizing a taxi. We were happy with our stay and would use Haven in Paris again as we much prefer staying in an apartment to a hotel room. The apartment was spacious and coped easily with our family of four including two twentyish children, one slept on a airbed behind the screen in the very spacious living area. Given 3 bedroom apartments are hard to come by this was a very acceptable arrangement for our family. It is well located with a great little bar/cafe 100 metres away and the proximity of Rue Montogueill for both grocery items and dining is excellent. |

The Clery apartment is beautiful as advertised and Françoise (our greeter) very helpful. It was nice that certain basics like garbage bags, paper towels and coffee filters were in the house. (It's annoying to rent an apartment and have to spend an entire day gathering such things as well as food and etc., particularly at a certain price point.) The furniture, towels, linens, kitchen equipment, appliances were all in excellent condition. It is very convenient that you have a computer for the use of your guests. It's a rare feature and one that factored significantly in our decision. |

We had a great time in Paris! The apartment worked out great for us. As a group of 6, we could really spread out and be comfortable. We really used the computer and the washer/dryer a lot. We were also happy with the amount of fresh towels and linens at our disposal. We enjoyed the special little touches: like the very ample closet space and empty bureaus, lots of hangers, the guidebooks and extra toiletries. The artwork was great and the kitchen was also well stocked with supplies and spices. The apartment was also very, very clean (and I am a picky cleanliness person). The drawers were lined with fresh paper. It was even clean under the furniture and beds. I also liked that there was freshly ground coffee in the refrigerator. Your website is also well organized with beautiful pictures of the apartments. We had a great time in Paris and a great stay at your apartment. We would definitely use your service again. |

Thank you very much we had a truly wonderful time at the apartment. Especially this time of year it was just so nice to come back "home" and enjoy the warmth and comfort of the apartment, have some freshly bought oysters from rue Montorgueil accompanied by a bottle of wine recommended by the wine merchant. A prefect setting to socialise with friends who had joined us from Germany. There was really nothing we could have wanted and did not have, in fact I think we did not fully appreciate all the facilities offered (laundry, PC, DVD, TV in study) but the kitchen was well equipped, the beds very comfortable, the bathroom had always hot water, the heating was working, the apartment was quiet Your greeters were very polite and professional, we appreciated the flowers and bottle of wine, that was a very heart warming touch. Francoise attended promptly to the problems with the internet/telephone/TV connections (which was very important as we needed to stay in touch with our offices), and that could have been a problem, but not yours per se as it was to do with the provider company. We found the controls for the TV channels somewhat challenging to work out, but there always seem to be (same in Singapore) too many remote controls and buttons to press wrongly if the system is new to you. We (as Germans) also thought your standard of cleanliness was exceptional, you could compete with the 5 star hotels any day! All in all we had a absolutely fantastic time and having an apartment of that quality and location was a great part of that. This is an outstanding apartment: beautifully and tastefully done, warm, spacious and filled with the owners' lovely art, books and furnishings. The location is superb: the immediate neighborhood, especially rue Montorgeuil in the 2e, has everything you might want for your Paris experience; and you're within walking distance of much of the best of Paris, including the Louvre, the Marais, Place des Voges, the islands etc. We were looked after efficiently and intelligently, as well as pleasantly, by HIP's indefatigable Kyra. We had an amazing visit to Paris. The apartment was lovely. I spent early mornings on the sofa reading through the fabulous art book collection. It was so relaxing and inspiring. The location of the apartment is ideal -- we walked everywhere. Rue Montorggueil, just around the corner, is a delight to your senses - and delivers the finest ingredients to create any meal your heart desires. Kyra was lovely. She was gracious when we met upon our arrival, took time with two bleary eyed, jet lagged travelers to ensure we knew how to operate and find stuff in the apartment, and gave us a neighborhood orientation. She chose a lovely wine for us that I really enjoyed. We invited her to dinner one night when our daughter was in town (they're similar ages) and it was a wonderful evening. The drivers from Elysee cars were both great. We used them both ways. Thierry on the pick up gave us a wonderful tour of the city which was a great way to orient us for the rest of the week. We'll be sure to check back with you on our next trip to Paris. I'd stay at Rue Clery again in a heartbeat. Thanks for helping make the trop so memorable. |

This was our third experience working with the outstanding people at HIP, all of which have been knock-your-socks-off successes! The trip - two October weeks stolen from a crazy-busy period in our lives - was perfect. Our two friends from Grenoble spent a weekend with us, and our son, daughter-i-l and two grandchildren stayed for the second weeks. The apartment is a rare find, and we rate the location (after some pre-arrival concerns) maybe the best yet! Why HiP? Experience, experience, experience! ALMOST everything has always worked perfectly with HIP, but, MUCH more important, if any little issues do arise - as can happen; this is real life, after all - HIP is RIGHT on top of them, IMMEDIATELY! We are already thinking about the coming summer . . . in a HIP apartment, of course! |

The appartement is well situated in Paris, but to us it is not a very cosy appartment. We think it needs to be redecorated. The second bedroom has a very small twin bed. (NOTE: This is a normal double bed 140x190cm) But the service of HIP was great. |

Everything was impeccable and Kyra was a charm. She brought us fresh flowers and there was a lovely touch of those in the bathrooms and on the dining table. She kept in touch to make sure everything worked well and coordinated our departure to work both for us and her next incoming guests. She is a true professional and so pleasant and made it all look easy. The booklet kept in the flat was very helpful re: places to eat and directions. The apartment was magnificent. My bed was extremely comfortable. From just walking in the door it was all fresh and sparkling and smelt good. The beautiful artwork everywhere...we would have loved to meet the artist. The only thing we pined about was having to leave, next time we will definitely plan for a longer stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly as on Saturday morning we had left our luggage there and had to come back and pick it up at 1:30 and they allowed us to come in and sit in the lounge room and use the bathrooms before our departure without any complaints even though we were in their way. All in all we had a really good stay, there were no unpleasant surprises, as can happen when booking from the net. |

The description of the Clery/Montorgueil apartment presented on the HIP website accurately reflects the apartment. What the website does not reflect is the wonderful support provided by Erica and her staff. Erica is an exceptional professional and she provides an effective and efficient rental process. Anne met us at the apartment and made us feel very comfortable. Subsequently, she made reservations for a car and driver to take us to Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte. Also, she obtained tickets for us to attend a wonderful concert at Ste. Chapelle. We could not be more satisfied with our Haven In Paris experience. Why HiP? The apartment was large, even more comfortable than expected, and the high ceilings give a relaxed airy feel. The building itself has been updated and yet retains all the hoped for charm and character. And the location is superb, in a non-touristy residential neighborhood only a two-minute walk from one of the best pedestrian streets (and best epicurean streets) in the city and centrally located to just about all the major sights. Bonjour. We truly enjoyed our stay in Paris. We enjoyed the apartment - it was spacious and very nicely appointed. My group enjoyed the space, spreading out, we ate all breakfast in and one dinner in. We came home and napped or relaxed almost every day and it was no trouble to get back there for a while. We also truly enjoyed the artwork, one of our group is an art student, and we were quite impressed with Lesleigh's range of work. Why HiP? Several things set Haven in Paris apart: First was a good website -- easy to read and move around in, I looked at about 50% of the properties, the website looked upscale but was still inviting and Erica got back to me within 12 hours of my initial inquiry. That was very important as I was getting nervous about renting a place -- I had had several conversation with other companies days earlier but was not feeling real comfortable about the people. Also, your property was very nice and the website did not overpromise. It was what we were expecting. In addition, the staff was very professional, if someone told me they would call or email or meet me -- they did. To me that was a sign of a quality group and made me feel good about my decision. Finally the packet with local suggestions and all of the emergency phone numbers, etc. was helpful. We did not need to use all of it but it was nice to have a reference source. We especially liked the restaurant in the walking market called Le Pain Quotidienne (Our daily bread..) the man who waited on us was so nice and funny and the food and ambiance were great. I will absolutely recommend Haven in Paris to anyone and plan on using you again next time I'm in France. Thanks again for everything --we truly had a great experience with your company. |

The Clery apartment is a huge open unit with easy access to everything we wanted. We had four people and rarely knew anyone else was in the unit. The stay at the apartment was wonderful. We had a great time and the place was great. Our greeter, Kyra, was amazing and we actually hung out and had dinner a few nights. She told us where to go and was always on the money. I would recommend with confidence! Thanks again, we would definitely use your services again. |

We were very satisfied with the Clery apartment. Its very large with a pleasant atmosphere and very centrally located for walking to points of interest. We appreciate that the pictures on your website accurately reflected the size and level of luxury of the unit. I have been misled by web photos on other occassions. We will definitely consider this unit the next time we stay in Paris. |

We enjoyed our stay immensely and looked forward to coming home to unwind after long days walking throughout the city. The Clery apartment is great for two couples (or family) with two real bedrooms. It is filled with artwork and has a wonderful dining area where you can feast on all the delicious treats you find on the lovely Rue Montorgueil-- a pedestrian street 2 blocks away with all the shops you need to prepare for an evening feast. |

We had a lovely time in Paris and were pleased with the apartment and especially with the attention and help we got from Nancy. We also could not have been more pleased with Kyra and Carrie: they are both loveley and did an amazing job babsitting for our William. |

We had, on the whole, a wonderful experience with your agency. Nancy was wonderful, she couldn't have been more charming or helpful.
