My stay in Paris was wonderful, which included the apartment that I stayed in. The apartment was spacious, lovely, and in a fabulous location. The only problem with the apartment is the drains and water pressure in the master bathroom. I know this problem is being addressed. Looking forward to returning in the near future. Why HiP? Erica |

The Bac Penthouse is a gorgeous apartment. Conveniently located on Rue du Bac, we were just minutes away from the Bon Marché, a large Monoprix, bakeries, shopping, and great restaurants. Probably our favorite thing about the apartment however was the large terrace with stunning views of Paris (you can see les Invalides, the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Palais, and Sacré Coeur!) Not only did the apartment come equipped with everything we could ever need for a perfect stay in Paris, but we were also surprised by how quiet and peaceful it was. Overall, we had an incredible stay at the Bac Penthouse and can't wait to book with HIP again soon in the near future! Why HiP? A friend referred me to the website. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the listed properties and the attention to detail. Once I began the booking process, I couldn't have been more pleased with the customer service and felt confident that I had made the right decision booking with HIP. I was right! |

This was our first time to rent a flat rather than stay in a hotel while on holiday. Based on our unforgettable experience with HIP, we look forward to doing the same again after our memorable week at the Bac penthouse flat. The flat itself is spacious with large windows that provide a view in one direction of Sacré Coeur and the Eiffel Tower in the other direction. After a long day out and about in Paris, one can enjoy the terrace which offers a comfortable setting for a refreshing drink with a splendid view and the large, leafy trees that give shade in the late afternoon. Whether inside or outside on the terrace, we couldn't get over how quiet the flat was. We didn't hear any city noise in spite of our location in the heart of Paris, all of 3 blocks from the Seine. The flat is roomy and bright with lofty ceilings that must be about 13 feet high. This makes it appear even larger. Skylights in the ceiling bring in a lot of natural light during the day. The kitchen must have been designed by someone who understands the importance of modern, easy-to-use appliances arranged for easy access while making sure that the cook has plenty of counter space. I should also mention that the air conditioning was useful when the temps hit 90F (32C) in Paris during our stay. What a relief to have it! The rue du Bac penthouse is located in a beautiful and historic neighborhood. The flat is remarkably central with the Louvre about 10 minutes away on foot across the Pont Royal, the Musée d’Orsay 5 minutes distance on foot just around the corner, the well-stocked Monoprix supermarket just across the street, a handy boulangerie two doors down and a variety of cafés and restaurants on every street corner. On a couple of evenings, we had wonderful meals close to home in two restaurants, the Gaya and Les Ministères. However, with the metro only steps away, it is also easy and convenient to go further afield. Montmartre, for example, is a direct run from rue du Bac metro stop. But it’s also easy to enjoy wandering the narrow streets of the Left Bank, ending up at the Jardin du Luxembourg which has plenty of space for a picnic lunch. Provisions can be bought on the way at the wonderful Grande Epicerie beside the Bon Marché department store – a walk of about 8 minutes from the flat. The Grande Epicerie in its own right is worthy of a visit by any tourist to Paris. But the Luxembourg Garden also has a café that offers delicious meals while sitting under the trees. The rue du Bac penthouse also intrigued us because one of France’s most famous writers, André Malraux, wrote his most notable novel, The Human Condition while living on rue du Bac. When he was De Gaulle’s minister of culture, Malraux successfully brought the Mona Lisa to the USA in the 1960s while the Kennedys were in the White House. The fascinating taxidermy shop seen in the Woody Allen film, Midnight in Paris, is also on rue du Bac. It’s not difficult to see why Picasso, Hemingway et al. dropped in there to see the array of colorful creatures lurking inside. We found the staff at HIP always available to help out with our questions. The entire process of making a reservation is quick and efficient. The staff replied promptly to our emails and sent clear, helpful and concise information about a variety of matters that can be important to a visitor. Our greeters and the drivers (found at the HIP website) were all well-informed, friendly, and very professional. Roger, our greeter, was charming and most helpful, as was Gregory our driver who met us at Charles DeGaulle Airport. HIP seems to have thought of everything that goes towards making people feel relaxed and very much “at home” in a large city in a foreign country. We very much look forward to using HIP in future. BAC penthouse is in a lovely building with delightful views of the Eiffel Tower and Musee D'Orsay. The apartment is quiet and peaceful, very spacious and a lovely respite from busy Paris streets. Centrally located, it is a short walk to Rue de Rivoli, and Notre Dame. We enjoyed the many cafes and patisseries close by. The neighborhood was delightful! Why HiP? We liked the property and prompt email contact. Very helpful advice from your staff, and quick attention to the minor problems that we faced (ants!). Would suggest the owner have a small printer, to print boarding passes, and museum passes. Note from HIP: We have successfully taken care of the minor ant issue in the flat. Thank you for your suggestion of a printer in the flat. We will look into this but can not guarantee that there will be one in each property. We will be happy to help you find a way to print something if ever you do come back our way again. |

We loved the property and had a wonderful time. The location was excellent and Didier Paul (our greeter) was terrific. We were greeted in a most fabulous way by Didier. The wine that was left for us was the only red wine I've enjoyed for years. Why HiP? The property was in the right are for us. I chose this over many others that advertise online. |

We very much enjoyed our stay at rue de Bac apartment - its our second stay. Didier is a wonderful greeter and is always prompt if there is any problems or requests. The apartment is in a fantastic location for our needs and the new Carrefour across the street makes it even better. No suggestions on how to improve since we always enjoy staying there. |

First the personnel. David, our driver, was fabulous. Prompt, helpful and very pleasant. He responded cheerfully to our last minute schedule change due to a cancelled flight. 10/10! Ditto for Didier. Great suggestions. Helped us make a wonderful reservation. Once again very pleasant, responsive and accommodating (the schedule change again). 10/10 And, of course, the HIP staff did a great job. 10/10 We loved the apartment and St. Germain. All the amenities, well equipped and very comfortable. Terrific location. The apartment was very private and quiet (a little bit of construction noise). It was nice to be able to call North America without cost. The laptop was also appreciated since ours went on the fritz. Wonderful terrasse, although the chairs are not very comfortable and are a bit ragged. Nice views albeit the tower was obscured by the large trees. Having said that, the trees were beautiful and added privacy and ambience. The condition of some of the common areas in the building (halls etc.) was below our expectations. In many areas paint was peeling from the walls and the floors/walls seemed unclean. A great trip and one we will always remember. Thank you. Note from HiP: The upper hallway by the apartment is scheduled for renovations and we hope they will be sooner rather then later. Luckily the flat is so wonderful and makes up for the somewhat tired hallway. |

We absolutely loved the BAC penthouse. It was a privilege to be able to stay there because we were introduced to a lovely area of Paris which was rather unfamiliar to us. Didier was an absolutely marvelous greeter and great fun as well. The HIP team is amazing. |

The staff during the whole reservation process was courteous and prompt. Once in Paris, from the moment Dider greeted us,to the beautiful towering vase of flowers awaiting us at the BAC penthouse, everything was top notch. The location was perfect, apartment was clean and beautifully appointed. Quiet and private with spectacular views off the patio. We have traditionally stayed in a hotel in the area, but no more. The location was perfect, everything within walking distance. The area was quiet,clean and had patisseries and a small store all just a block away for any quick kitchen needs. Dider promptly answered our call when we had a question,was on hand when the taxi arrived for our departure. We have already booked for next year! |

The rental experience with HiP was wonderful. Starting with the trip from the airport, it was an easy trip into the city; we used recommended driver Andy Waters, who was pleasant and knowledgeable. Mika, our greeter at the apartment, was charming and helpful. When my daughter was worried about connecting her computer to the internet, Mika contacted us later in the day to make sure we were all set. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable. It was a great place to relax after our long days and nights walking through Paris. I couldn't imagine going back to a small, cramped hotel room. My 2 teenage daughters were happy because they could contact their friends via internet. The laptop that was provided worked well. The left bank location was great. A 5 minute walk to the Musee d'Orsay & Louvre and the cafes on rue St. Germain. The metro is right around the corner. Every morning my wife and I took a 3 minute walk to Eric Kayser, one of the best boulangers in Paris, and brought fresh baked goods back to the apartment. When my daughters woke up, we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, with wonderful rooftop views of Paris. Perfect. I have never rented before and was a little nervous, but HiP made the entire experience worry-free. I would certainly use them again. Two notes about the apartment: As HiP states, the apartment is truely not accessable to folks who have difficuly walking. Once you get to the top of the elevator, on the 4th floor, it's a spiral staircase and a long walk down a narrow hallway to the 5th floor apartment. We enjoyed it; it made us feel like locals, but it's not for the faint of legs. The 2nd note is a very minor complaint. The chairs on the terrace are probably the most uncomfortable things I ever sat on. (I am not overweight, 6 feet, 165 lbs.) However, that did not prevent us from enjoying the terrace every day. We have rented in Paris through several other agencies in the past and this was by far the best experience we have ever had. It was "drama free" from start to finish which adds to the enjoyment of a vacation. The service was professional, incredibly competent and wonderfully helpful from the first contact through the check out. Our greeter Didier was really helpful and went the extra mile to make sure that our stay was perfect. The apartment was just as described, there were no unpleasant surprises as you can sometimes find when renting through the internet. I would recommend Haven in Paris to anyone looking for a wonderful time in Paris! You have a wonderful team and we can't thank you enough for helping make this such a great vacation. Why HiP? Hello - I just wanted to write and tell you all what a fantastic stay I had last week. The Bac apartment was nothing short of spectacular. And the location was within minutes of everything, no matter what direction we took. Our greeter was outstanding when we arrived and continued to keep in contact and offer help and suggestions throughout the week. I will definitely be back and had already started telling friends that they have to experience Paris in the same way. Thank you for a fantastic vacation experience. What a delightful experience my recent visit to Paris was. The Rue de Bac apartment was beautiful and spacious with an amazing view of Paris from its terrace. The location could not have been better, for I was able to walk everywhere I wanted to go from it.
