Haybarn
The Hay Barn on a Hill was just what we wanted for our all too brief stay in Tuscany (one week). The rooms were comfortable and cool (especially with the fans on at night) and the kitchen had everything one could possibly want. We spent a lot of time also cooking, eating and relaxing on the patio. Can't say enough about the views, especially the sunsets from the patio and looking out the smaller bedroom window. Also, being amidst olive trees in the owners beautiful olive grove was magical. The master bedroom and upstairs bathroom overlook the olive grove and a beautifully formed low mountain range including Monte Maggio. Really hope we can make it back one day. We had a delightful stay in the Hay Barn during our two-week holiday in Tuscany. The location was super and allowed us to visit numerous points of interest. The views are breathtaking and seeing the sun set beyond the distant hill towns is unforgettable. We made good use of the patio, BBQ and enjoyed just relaxing outside during the late afternoons with a glass of wine. The ceiling fans were a great addition. Really appreciated the interior design of the house and the mix of fabulous furniture. James and Claudia, Baton Rouge, LA (July 2008) Why HiP? This is our first vacation through Haven in Paris and we will never go anywhere else. A relative who lives in Garche recommended it to us and we were blown away by their efficiency and friendliness. We have tried internet booking directly when traveling in the past and had some very disappointing experiences, so that was not an option for us, but Haven in Paris provided much more than the assurance of finding what you expect when you arrive from the airport at your holiday home. They assisted us with finding a baby sitter, great local restaurants, and even arranged for us to have a meal upon our arrival! Long may they live! James and Claudia |

We were delighted with the house because it is such a perfect combination of respect for the architecture of a traditional hay barn and the creation of a new interior design that is open, full of light and totally comfortable, yet provides separate areas for the inhabitants of the house to have private space as well. On the practical side, it has all the modern conveniences one might wish for during a vacation stay. The views seen from inside the house are inviting. Every morning I would look out our bedroom windows and be eager to go outside. From the garden the views are spectacular and embody my sense of the beauties of the region. When I think about being there for either a short or a long stay, I know that I would be happy to be there at any time of year. One feels wonderfully remote when one is on the property, but in reality it is just a short drive to many, many places of interest. Sarah Paris |
