About
This Space

Up a cypress lined drive, past vineyard covered rolling hills, you’ll find Il Poggio, an architectural surprise in the heart of Tuscany nestled above the panoramic countryside. Built in the style of Richard Neutra, a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, the villa is situated on the owner’s private 500 acre (162 hectare) estate, which has been in his family since 1743. Surrounded by olive groves, lemon trees and rosemary bushes, this house has been built with local stones, materials, and glass to blend with the scenery and let you experience Tuscany at its best.

Wake in the morning to birds singing and the morning sun shining in your very own 6 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom Tuscan villa with large private pool (7 x 15 meters / 23 x 50 feet). Il Poggio has been lovingly decorated by its Italian/American owners with authentic Italian country antiques, family treasures, and eclectic objects picked up through their worldly travels. The "baby"grand piano, extensive collection of books, original artwork, and spacious furniture create a design style that captures modern comfort and old world charm with touches of luxury.

Inside, light streams through the large windows, with floor to ceiling venetian shutters that keep the house cool in the Tuscan summer heat. The evening sunsets will be unforgettable.

The owners, being serious cooks, have painstakingly remodeled the chef's kitchen and fitted it with a professional oven, 5 gas burners, two large sinks, dishwasher and a large refrigerator and freezer. Every possible kitchen amenity has been included to assure that you can cook and dine in the utmost of comfort. For a true delight of your taste buds, you can arrange to have the owners to come in and cook an authentic Tuscan dinner right in your Tuscan villa rental. (Erica personally recommends the risotto with strawberries and sweet Italian sausage!)

The partially covered terracotta terrace, with its panoramic views of Tuscan countryside, has a marble top table and chairs for exterior dining, a BBQ, and lounge chairs.

This Tuscan vacation villa is surrounded by vineyards to the east and north. It is ideally located about 10 minutes from Monteriggioni, 20 from Siena and 45 minutes from Florence; additional points of interest within 30 minutes by car include San Gimignano and Volterra.

The city of Colle Val d’Elsa, only 8 kilometers away, provides all the services one may require from a well-stocked supermarket (the COOP) to three pharmacies (chemists), cinema, handicrafts, fashion and numerous other kinds of stores. For those interested in crystal Colle is a dream come true; special visits to two of the finest factories can be organized by the owners.

There are several restaurants in the vicinity of Il Poggio including the family style and most reasonable "Astronave" (a five minute drive), Casalta (for beautifully served, refined Tuscan cuisine) in the hamlet of Strove (a 10 minute drive,) and Ristorante della Pieve in Pievescola (a 15 minute drive). Numerous pizza restaurants are also available in Colle Val d’Elsa; a full list of restaurants is provided by the owners together with the house manual.

Vieri and Rebecca (the owners) will be pleased to organize walking tours, hot air balloon rides, guided tours of Siena, Florence and other points of interest and much more upon request. Additional maid service is also available; please inquire.

Of
Note

  • The swimming pool can present a hazard, particularly to small children.
  • There are staircases throughout the villa, making it inappropriate for anyone with difficulties walking or climbing.
  • Although the caretakers are extremely discreet and will never intrude upon your privacy unless invited, they do live right next door in a separate wing of the house. You may never actually see them, and the house itself is quite isolated, but if total isolation is the goal, this may not be the best property for you.
  • Due to the high costs of heating the property during the cooler months, there is a supplemental heating/energy deposit of 500 Euros for rentals between September 1st and April 15th. This deposit is due in cash at check-in and all (or part) will be returned at check-out depending on the energy usage during your stay. After April 15th, central heating is not allowed in Italy. If the weather is cold, we will be happy to provide you with space heaters during your stay.
  • Although a truly special and lovely property, Poggio is not a luxury villa. It is decorated beautifully and comfortably, and the kitchen and bathrooms have recently been renovated.
  • Due to the rural setting of this property, access to supplies, food and fuel are more limited then in a big city on the weekends. The owner can arrange to have a few basic groceries in place for you when you arrive (for an additional fee). Please plan accordingly with this in mind. You can arrange this directly with the owner.
  • Local townships have instituted a tax on vacation rentals. This tax is 1 Euro per person over the age of 12 for a maximum of 3 days. So, for example, a group of 7 adults and 3 children would pay 21 Euros total for a week stay. Renters must pay the tax in the township where the rental occurs. This tax is due to the owner at check in. The owner will issue you an official receipt and record the tax with the local officials.

Jim O. September, 2014 Florida, U.S.

It is difficult to know where to begin when recommending our Villa rental . Our group consisted of 6 adults who had never traveled together. That week was an entire experience that exceeded our expectations and revolved around the villa and our host, Vieri. When you first arrive at the villa you see a stunning structure against equally stunning landscape. The villa is a unique design. It is modern in appearance, open to light on all sides. Inside, the open theme continues with large rooms on both the main floor and comfortable sleeping rooms and baths upstairs. The setting is within vineyards, scenic, quiet and quite beautiful. We had meals in the dining area and wine on the surrounding verandas in total comfort. The location was wonderful for the exploring we wanted to do in hilltop towns as well as in cities such as Siena and Florence. For Americans, it is quite astounding to visit a hill town where the defensive walls were last refurbished in 1360. Our experience revolved around the recommendations for travel and dining as suggested by Vieri. When I first heard him speak, I told our group that he sounds like he comes from Cleveland, turns out it is NYC but the point is that there are no communication problems. On our first night Vieri provided a meal from one of his suggested menus; the food was delicious, the wine fantastic, and our host not only entertaining but wanted to learn more about us as well as our objectives in our adventure. While that meal was a highlight, the restaurants he suggested and arranged tables at were not only fun but again exceeded expectations. Our week began on a Saturday, and Vieri suggested we visit a grocery store on arrival in order to buy food and drink for an additional day since stores are closed on Sundays. In summary, the Villa is highly recommended, but please don't overbook because I intend to return soon with my grandchildren.

Allison S. July, 2014 North Carolina

The villa was truly remarkable and Vieri was such an accommodating and interesting host. It was a common refrain during the week from all of us that 'how could anyone rent this extraordinary and beautiful place to strangers?' We were quite amazed at the spaciousness and ease with which our party of eight could be accommodated considering our diversity - family of four, a couple and two singles - without anyone seeming to encroach on another's 'territory'. Everything that one could want or need in the kitchen was available in abundance and the pool was a particular hit with everyone, being of a significant size and depth instead of the often 'quasi piscina'. The grand piano even had a workout from my son and me - to establish who could remember the most of the Moonlight Sonata before resorting to the music books available. I would have liked to spend a year there just working my way through the many interesting books, and decided the study was a most conducive place to write a book. I'm already pondering a possible return next year as it was so relaxing and yet stimulating.

Charlene A. October, 2013 Brisbane, Australia

The setting was great set amongst vineyards. Early mornings would sometimes see hot air balloons in the valley. Vieri was easy to communicate with and made suggestions of a cheese and winery tour which unfortunately we ran out of time for. There are some local restaurants up the road but we were lucky enough to have a few chefs amongst us. Kitchen was very well equipped. We were all impressed with the decor and so many great books to read. Many thanks again for your hospitality.

Just returned from vacation in Italy including a week stay at our Villa. It was everything you could ask for. Large, spotless with lots of open space inside. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful grounds with a huge, clean pool. Serene and peaceful. Secluded yet close enough to everything. And the view is to die for. The villa is beautiful. Large open floor plan with floor to ceiling windows allowing you to capture the magnificent view from almost anywhere inside the house. We could sit outside on the patio that runs the whole length of the house with enough lounge chairs so all 11 of us were able to sit outside together and enjoy. There are more chairs on the covered side patio facing the large pool. Even more yet on the pool deck. The villa is positioned well. On a hilltop surrounded by vineyards, it is very secluded, yet Siena, Monteriggioni, Voltera, San Gimignano & Chianti are all within 20-40 minutes drive. Florence is within an hour. This allowed us to take day trips and return in time to relax by the pool in the afternoon to rest up before dinner. Speaking of dinner there are several good restaurants within 15 minutes. The supermarket is also15 minutes away so you can stock up on meats, cheeses, wine etc. Or if you really want to treat yourselves as we did twice, have Vieri the owner, come to the villa and cook dinner for you. Amazing!! He'll also bring a few bottles of his own produced wine. Vieri will do anything he can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible, as he was only a phone call away to answer any questions or give suggestions. A truly nice man, he also speaks perfect English, which makes it that much easier. This was the fourth time I've rented a Tuscan villa and this by far was the best. Truly amazing. Absolutely perfect!

Mark G. June, 2013 Melbourne

Well what can I say about our Villa rental. We were arriving late from our drive from Nice. Vieri the villa owner rang and because we were going to arrive late he had made a booking at a local restaurant. He met us at the restaurant to greet us at 9:30pm. We went back to the Villa after dinner to find this amazing house. It was just fantastic with everything you would need to cater for up to 11 people for a great stay. The place is huge with every need catered for and the finish of each our days was spent around the pool. Vieri could not be any more helpful with booking us restaurants, advising us on sightseeing and taking us to local cheese and salami producers. He even drove one of our couples to Siena to pick up their daughter from the station. We had a wonderful time and could not recommend the villa more highly.

Elaine Z. May, 2013 New York, NY

I agree with the other reviewers on their stellar ratings for this property and owner.
The owner and host of our Villa was available 24/7 to answer questions and to make our stay absolutely wonderful. His friendly suggestions and knowledge of Italian art history, sumptuous restaurants and magnificent culture further enriched our stay.
The property is spacious, bright and absolutely serene. It is easily accessible to day trips to Florence, Pisa, Siena, Lucca, and other ancient towns, and is a reasonable 3 1/2 hour drive to Rome.
Our family of 7 have ventured all over the globe. Our stay at this Villa will remain one of our favorite holidays.

Margaret B. September, 2012 Massachusetts, USA

My 80th Birthday gift from my sons was a trip to Italy. It was my very good fortune to spend 15 days at this glorious Villa. Fantastic. On approaching the villa, we were met by Vieri, warm, charming and most hospitable. During our stay, Vieri would prove to be the "Host with the Most"!!! On entering the Villa - a beautifully appointed large living room, formal dining room, informal dining area, eat in kitchen, beautiful open stairway to the bedrooms - having large storage and closet areas - some with balconies, looking out on more breath taking scenery. Two libraries up and down. A baby grand piano in the living area (we were fortunate enough to have our own talented pianist). Our groups' ages were 12, 30, 40, 50, 60 and 80 - all quite diverse - and all found complete comfort in our vacation home. Stepping out onto a beautiful wrap-around terrace overlooking the pristine landscape, vineyards, olive groves and meadows with sheep (even some black ones), pheasant, deer and other wildlife, you could fine complete serenity. If you were not relaxed yet, a beautiful swimming pool awaited you - go out and sit on the many chaises and chairs, outside eating area to enjoy your morning coffee, afternoon tea or wine and even dinner if you choose. We watched magnificent sunsets and even enjoyed a huge double rainbow one evening. And now for the kitchen - every gourmet cook's dream (my two sons are excellent cooks ) - professional pots and pans, 5 burner gas stove, abundance of dishes, glassware, wonderful serving pieces - dishwasher, freezer, barbeque pit, delicious herbs to pick to enhance the gourmet meals my boys cooked...what more could you want. The surrounding country side was great for long walks or hiking. All in all this was a vacation beyond my wildest dreams - enhanced by the Villa itself - I have to give this ten stars. Thank you, Vieri, for making this fantastic Villa available. Your knowledge and time was invaluable. Vacationer please try this Villa.

I was away from home for a month with my family. HIP ended up being the perfect way to plan and book our accommodations. We stayed in Paris for a week, Provence for a week and Tuscany for two weeks. My plan to be a part of the culture was helped by the Apartment and Houses that we rented. By far are most enjoyable part of the trip was in Tuscany. The owner of the House, Vieri, could not have been more helpful. He planed our trip to Florence with a driver and a tour guide on short notice, recommended the best restaurants in the area and called for reservations. The month away was amazing and a great experience for my family. It is always hard to rely on a company that you have never used before. Every thing that we asked for and needed was done with HIP by e-mail and a cell phone. You will not be disappointed.

Jane G. August, 2012 Connecticut, USA

This house is spectacular and works great for a group. The modern architecture and decor is very eclectic and so interesting! The house is huge and there is plenty of room for people to spread out and have room to themselves if they need it. There are also outdoor tables on either side of the house. One side is great for breakfast, the other for dinner to optimize sunlight. The pool is lovely. When i got out of it and would look over the Tuscan countryside it felt surreal! I've never had a vacation like this. So, if you're looking for a wonderful, unique house in the Tuscan countryside, this is the one for you.

Susan & Michael July, 2012 MA, USA

Our family loved your beautiful, immaculate, spacious and well equipped villa in Monterrigioni. The many well furnished rooms, family living areas and great pool provided the 11 of us with all the room we needed. I can't imagine a better place to celebrate our special 50th Anniversary with our children and grandchildren. You were always there to assist us with questions and give wonderful suggestions of area restaurants and Medieval Festivals. We loved our tour of the winery and enjoyed our lunch while tasting the special, Chianti wines. Thanks for taking us to the local butchery where we bought delicious Tuscan meats and for helping us buy some special pecorino cheese. Thank you so much for your personal attention to detail that made our week a most memorable experience for all of us.

Laura July, 2012 Marblehead

We can not say enough about staying at this villa! We were an extended family of three generations and each loved it as much as the next! We had plenty of room to stretch out and feel comfortable and relaxed. We love to cook and the kitchen was perfect...the outdoor spaces to eat, read, relax and swim were ideal. The bedrooms and bathrooms were as comfortable as at home! Vieri is a gem with his suggestions, ideas, assistance, cooking, and friendship! We all hope to come back and will remember our stay forever as just perfect!

James Meindok June, 2011 Canada

Poggio was a wonderful property in the Tuscan countryside. The owner, Vieri, was incredible! Not only was he extremely kind and accommodating, he sought out opportunities to provide us with recommendations on day trips and restaurants to improve our stay. The lovely family that lived in the adjacent home were responsible for the excellent upkeep of the villa, and as an added bonus their daughter became an instant playmate for our son! We were extremely happy with our travel experience and would wholeheartedly recommend this villa to others in the future.

Marie-Pascal B. August, 2010 Paris, Frane

Merci. A bientot a Paris.

Mary R July, 2010 Rhode Island, USA

Villa Poggio was ideally located for our group of 10 adults given our desire to take frequent excursions in the directions of Siena, Florence and beyond. The large swimming pool was perfect when we came back home. The villa is particularly comfortable and provides groups with sufficient space to gather as well as privacy. It is well equipped and provides all the comforts one might seek during a vacation. We all had a wonderful stay.

James G. July, 2010 Munich, Germany

My wife, children, in-laws and I all had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable stay at Villa Poggio. It is very well located and remarkably spacious; the design of this modernist villa is very good and despite the huge amount of large windows, it stays cool during the hot summer days of Tuscany. All the amenities are present from a beautiful and recently renovated kitchen to hair dryers in each bathroom. We made a lot of use of the BBQ and outside eating areas. I recommend this villa enthusiastically.

Sood Family July, 2010 Munich, Germany

We very much enjoyed our week here at this magnificent home. It really is a very special place with personal collections and mementos. From our side we had the right balance of relaxation and exploration but, as you've probably heard before, a week was just too short! I am sure that our daughter will always remember spending her 5th birthday here.

Anonymous June, 2009 California, USA

It was beautiful! The owner had left dinner ready to eat on our arrival. Two biplanes flew in over the valley as we ate and did loop the loop acrobatics in the valley in front of us. I said Happy Birthday to my wife as if I had hired them. The house is magnificent in 1960's modern American style. More than we could have hoped for, it was filled with the owners books (mostly fine art - first run prints of Jackson Pollock) and movies. The pool kept us all cool and exercised (14x8meters). Siena is close enough for adventure as is Florence. A great time was had by all seven of us.

J.W. June, 2009 California, USA

What can I say - there were 9 of us and we all had a Wonderful time! We enjoyed the owners who cooked beautiful meals for us 3 times. They brought wine and apertifs from their own winery and it was delicious. They cooked using olive oil from their "farm". They shared their insights of the area - reserved tickets for us, helped us book train trips to Venice and Rome, etc., etc. We were there 2 weeks and it went way too fast. We would love to go back!!

Helga R. September, 2008 Copenhagen

Dear Vieri & Rebecca, Thank you for a wonderful week here at Il Piaggione. We have had a fabulous week here in your beautiful villa, enjoying the great view of the Tuscan landscape and your tasteful interior. Your hospitality and helpfulness and hospitality have been overwhelming and we really enjoyed your cooking and wine tasting as well. All in all Il Piaggione turned out to provide the very best surroundings for a 60th birthday celebration and happy holiday for three families, including 5 children. Hopefully we haven't seen these wonderful vineyards and olive trees for the last time! Best regards from all of us!

Melissa September, 2008 Poggio

We could not have been more pleased. We adored the place and Vieri, and were only sorry we didn't stay longer, visit his vineyard and enjoy a meal with him and Rebecca. Being a party of ten (with two children ages 4 and 1) made things a bit challenging with respect tot he foregoing. I have already recommended you to several friends interested in renting a villa and I thank you and Vieri so very much in advance.

Mark & Linda R August, 2008 Calgary, Alberta, Canada

We had a wonderful time exploring the beauty of Tuscany! Your villa is in a spectacular location. The mornings are beautiful, the evenings peaceful and in between the pool was wonderful!

Wendy, Jay, Larry, Diane, Veronica & Gus August, 2008 Memphis, TN, and Austin, TX

Who helps the hasty to tarry? Vieri! Who gives peace to the wary? Vieri! Who helps the lonely to marry? Vieri ! Who make dull folks vary? Vieri! Dear Host Extraordinaire It's all true. We slowed down, opened our hearts, unshuttered our eyes & minds and soaked in all that is glorious about Tuscany. Undulating fields of sunflowers, medieval hill towns and all the little things that make life worth living. Your home is bellissimo; Gus says your food was buonissimo (we all agree!) P.S. We have a new friend in Tuscany. You have new friends in Austin and Memphis!

G. DeGeer July, 2008 Toronto Ontario Canada

Owner arrived shortly after we did and gave us tour and fully explained useage of machines. He made reservation for us in wonderful local outdoor restaurant...which was exceptional...he also provided directions to some in group which proved invaluable in visiting towns and cities.

Maryann & Patrick D. July, 2008 Ontario, Canada

Thank you for this wonderful experience. We loved your home, the pool and the views and much more! Hopefully we'll see you again. Look us up if you are ever in Toronto. In love with Tuscany!

The DeGeer group June, 2008 Canada

A 50th wedding anniversary celebration, 3 generations together and a never to be forgotten family holiday. It is hard to say good bye to Villa Il Piaggione, the surrounding countryside and all its beauty. We loved the villa and all its beautiful spaces. We will never enjoy a more spectacular space and the affectionate cat was an unexpected, added attraction. From our hearts, thank you!!

Garry & Pat, Jim & Dana, Barry, Lynn Tre June, 2008 Toronto, Canada

We enjoyed every beautiful space in the magnificent villa. It is lavishly equipped for all our needs. The pool is truly a blessing and all of usenjoyed it many times each day. Hard to leave the premises for sight seeing etc. but we have done our best. The resident cat made us feel at home and showed us great affection whenever we were around. I'm sure we will be in touch. We each send out thanks for an extraordinary stay in Tuscany.

Gordon & Joy October, 2007 San Diego, CA

We were so happy staying in the villa. It is so beautiful as is the countryside. Thank you thank you thank you. This was a wonderful place to live while we visited your country. And your meals were incredible. You are the ultimate host. It was a pleasure!

Nancy S. September, 2007 PA, USA

Thank you for sharing your beautiful villa with us. We had a fabulous time traveling the Tuscan countryside with all of the spectacular views. Thank you also for the restaurant recommendations. Arnolfo was incredible!! Good luck, take care and be well.

Scott B. September, 2006 Montreal

Thank you so much for sharing your home with us. Our stay was truly a memorable holiday. We enjoyed the sunshine in the morning, the sunsets in the evening, the flowers and the scent of rosemary and sage. Your hospitality was endless. We truly enjoyed the visit to your winery and the beautiful meal, the tour of the glass factory, the restaurant suggestions, and of course the seemingly endless directions and Tuscan history that you provided. We certainly hope to return to this beautiful little corner of the world. Other members of my group said: Thank you so much for such a lovely introduction to Italy. What a treat for us, your location, your villa and your hospitality was a treat. We enjoyed our friends and met some new ones. Words cannot describe how much we have enjoyed our visit with you. Thank you so much for everything! We hope to return. You have been a big part of a very special week. Your thoughtful advice added to our enjoyment of this beautiful country. I hope we can return some time soon to enjoy your beautiful villa all over again. Your villa has been a wonderful base for our "big chilla at the villa" week. We enjoyed the meals your prepared here and at our vineyard, and your restaurant recommendations have all been fantastic. The 9 of us have sampled some great wines and tried to fit in as much sight-seeing as we could in the beautiful Tuscan countryside in one week. Because there is so much to see and do, we all hope to be back again. Thanks. Thank you for opening your lovely villa to us for for this wonderful week. I have visited Tuscany many times over the years and your villa will be the most memorable. All ready I am thinking of a return visit and we will be sure to book well in advance. I really enjoyed our visit to the crystal factory and will be in touch with you concerning the white wine glasses when I am back at home. Many thanks again! We've had a wonderful time "up at the villa." I enjoyed just exploring the House and examining every interesting little thing. In my spare time I looked at the art history books and pretended I could paint like that if ... I wish I just had a few more weeks at the villa. Hopefully will return in a few years and pick your brain for more things to see and do. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday adventure.

Vanessa B. September, 2006 UK

We've enjoyed a fantastic stay in a place of outstanding beauty and tranquility. The location has been perfect, allowing us to explore the better known Tuscan sights as well as discover the more hidden gems. We will never forget two delectable evenings spent in Scorgiano. Sergio wins our vote as Italy s most charming and convivial waiter. Thanks, our holiday was brilliant! Other members of my group add: This house could not have been more perfect for celebrating my mother's 50th birthday. Vieri's recommendation of Franco's restaurant in Colle was much appreciated - he provided an amazing meal for 30 people. Most of all we just loved the house. Being in the house, Using the house. It may not be Neutra but it is a really beautiful piece of modern architecture. That gave us REAL pleasure - as did the pool and the view of the hills. We would love to come back again one day. In the meantime, thank you so much. I'd like to second what Vanessa has written - it has been a memorable holiday, made so by this amazing house. A very special place. Thank you.

Janet G. August, 2006 Nevada, USA

Thank you so much for letting us stay in your villa! It is a beautiful home and the dinner you cooked for us was amazing! Thank you! We enjoyed your beautiful home and take with us many good of our time in Tuscany! Good health and happiness!! We had a wonderful stay (except for the heat). We loved every minute. The villa is more than we expected. Thanks for the lovely dinner and all your help during our week.

Frank G. August, 2006 Scotland

Many thanks for you generous hospitality and use of your villa. We had an amazing week that went by much faster than expected. The lunch and winery tour were a highlight and the pool was well used! Thanks again for making our visit to Tuscany a most enjoyable stay we will not forget!

Craig M. July, 2006 Connecticutt, USA

Although we will cherish every memory of our holiday in Italy, especially our week at your spectacular villa, we will most fondly remember our renewal of vows. Thank you so much for your assistance in the special surprise.

Neal J. July, 2006 Michigan, USA

It was a pleasure to be able to enjoy your home as our base for visiting Tuscany. We enjoyed the pool and short hikes during the day, and the stars, food and wine in the evenings. Special thanks to Vieri and Rebecca (the owners) for the amazing meal and for showing us your vinicultural headquarters.

I am not much for words and your hospitality, your food, your scenic surroundings, leave nothing else to say because they all take our breath away! Thanks much and really do hope our paths cross again (maybe at olive picking time???) P.s. I will surely pass the word on this special place and its spectacular owners. You have it all right here!

Thank you Vieri & Rebecca. Our meal was a highlight of our vacation and your home was lovely! Other members of my group say: What a wonderful meal and a memorable evening for all of us! We can t thank you enough for your hospitality. Thank you so much Vieri & Rebecca! Our dinner was so delicious. I do hope you will share your recipes so we can bring a little bit of Italy back home. Thank you for the wonderful meal you prepared for us. What a treat! We had a wonderful time and great memories to take home.

This truly is an amazing home and location. This stay will be one of the most memorable we have had in all our travels. Your kindness, concern, direction, referrals etc etc was so appreciated by us (& everyone). Actually Vieri (the owner), you made this part of our stay in Italy so much fun. Thank you for your conversations, taking time to show us the glass factory & your winery. Your cooking is great. May continued good fortune be yours.

Thank you for all your great suggestions; the restaurants and gelato were so wonderful. We all loved having and sharing your home for the week. The view was spectacular. We will all take back so many wonderful memories of this week. You were so kind to check on us and give us so much help to make our vacation something that will last a lifetime. We all hope to return & our friends will tire of hearing of our time in Tuscany.

We enjoyed very much staying in your lovely house. Our stay in Stresa was excellent and very enjoyable. We would like to welcome the opportunity to welcome you to Oslo. Please do not hesitate to inform us when you start planning your trip. My son is talking about the olive harvesting in November, it seems like you have given him a passion! My daughter is dreaming about the Italian fashion and Uwe and I miss the beautiful landscape and enjoyable meals and not the least nice walks! We will certainly come back.

Thanks so much for everything you have done to help make this the perfect week in Toscana. Your recommendations were always excellent and highlights will always be the special extras like the winery tour/lunch and visit to the glass factory. Should you visit Seattle we would love to have you visit with all of us. And if another week in Tuscany is in our future it, will be here with you.

Many thanks for a terrific holiday including your wine, olive oil and restaurant tips. Five children appear to have got through a fortnight without amputating any limbs on the breadboards!
